I’m writing this post for my future reference as well as for anyone who bought GTA IV from Steam Summer Sale and having issues to play the game on Windows 8 machine. After much tinkering with various methods to get it to play, I finally got it to working. So I posted on Steam about the problem I was having with Rockstar Social Club sign in.
